Hello, welcome to Galbae Apartment, I hope you will find everything you need, you will sleep well and you will be comfortable.

Almost all the furnishings have been thought out and designed specifically for this apartment, handmade by expert craftsmen and if you are wondering if the different finds from the Roman age are true, the answer is yes, they date back to the first century BC.

The kitchen is fully equipped, there are all the appliances you can need, a safe and a microwave are in the closet next to it, along with everything is needed for cleaning while inside the bedrooms and bathrooms you can find different things such as blankets, pillows, towels, personal hygiene products, hair dryers and more.

House Tips

For the instructions of the appliances is possible to consult all the information useful for their operation by following the instructions that you can find in the house book with the query codes on the last page or by consulting the INFO menu item in the category HOW IT WORKS.

NOT TO THROW

In the bathroom please avoid throwing solid objects, diapers, sanitary towels, make-up remover sponges, cotton buds or other materials that could cause blockages into the toilet.

USB SOCKETS

In the bedrooms, on the bedside tables next to the bed, there are multi-sockets with USB and the button (blue led) to turn it on and off is on the right side.

WASTE

For recycling each bucket is equipped with a special plate of different color for the various types of waste. Organic and undifferentiated waste can be disposed in the special collectors located in the communal courtyard, while all other waste in the nearby collection points.

HOT COLD SYSTEM

For the heating and cooling system, all three internal splits need to be in the same mode: AUTOMATIC, HEATING or COOLING by pressing the MODE button on the remote control, otherwise they stop, The 120-liter hot water tank, if it runs out, temporarily blocks the splits, produce hot water and then restarts them.

SHUTTERS

For complete darkness in the rooms there are shutters, you can see some photos below to help you understand how to close and open it.

SAFE

To use the safe the code is on the back of the door, to open and close enter the code followed by the key-shaped button and turn the black knob.

FIRST AID KIT

In the box where the keys are contained there is a small key of the first aid kit that is located in the kitchen closet, with inside essential equipment in case of emergencies.

KEYS

In the two sets of keys you have two keys that open the main gate to access the courtyard (white ring) and the door of the staircase F (black ring), but you can also ring directly the intercom as in the entry procedure to open, to exit the stairway door you will find the door open button on your left or on the door itself while to exit from both gates of the courtyard, a few meters before you will find on the wall of the building a round button that you can use to open the gate.

You can also enter and exit from the large gate opposite the market (Via Giovanni Battista Bodoni, 92), the key is always the one with the white ring you have in the bunch of keys, but you won’t find the intercom.

TERRACE

In the box where the keys are contained there is also the key to access the condominium terrace, please lock the door when you leave it and please do not use other residents’ objects, such as tables and chairs.

You will be in a very quiet area of Testaccio, ideal base for exploring the Eternal City by foot, for discover the flavors of real traditional cuisine and live like a true citizen of Rome, very close to restaurants, cafe, supermarkets and a fantastic local market.

A few days before the start of the stay, you will receive a complete procedure with detailed instructions and photographs, so that the entry into the apartment takes place without problems, in full autonomy and at the desired time.

I could arrange your arrival in the best and most flexible way, including luggage handling or transfer by private car.

In some cases and when possible, on request we will do our best to allow you access to the booked accommodation even if you arrive before 15:00.

When you leave the apartment it is important to leave the two sets of keys provided where you found them and simply close the door behind you.

Late Check-out

Always on request, it is only possible in case there is no imminent reservation for the same day, you will be able to leave the set of house keys and your luggage inside the apartment and return to collect them using the same check-in procedure and code that I will leave active for you.

Wi-Fi & home automation

You will find free high speed Wi-Fi network, you can browse and send documents or videos all over the world up to 1 Gbps in download and 300 Mbps in upload.

On the iron console in the kitchen there is a Google Nest Hub that allows to control the home automation system, simply say “Hey Google” and then the command you want to be executed to play music, receive answers to your questions and control home’s devices, such as lights and heating.

Transport

The city offers a wide range of options for getting around, metro, buses, trams and regional trains, so it is possible to explore in the preferred way.

I live very close to the apartment and usually I choose the train to go to or come from Rome Fiumicino International Airport, the frequent regional train service is active from 05:57 am to 23:27 pm at costs of € 8,00, it takes 40 minutes and the closest station to the apartment is TRASTEVERE STOP.

From Ciampino Airport, reach or leave the city center is a bit complicated with public transport, it takes more than an hour and a half with two or three changes.

Alternatively you can take a public taxi or I can arrange a car with a driver who will pick you up at the airport or apartment at the desired time.

Train

Rome Termini and Rome Tiburtina railway stations are the major rail hubs, while Porta San Paolo, Ostiense and Trastevere stations serve specific areas of the city and strategic regional connections, including those to Fiumicino Airport.

Metro

The city has three main lines so it’s easy to understand, Line A (red), Line B (blue), Line C (green) and Metro B Piramide is the closest stop to the apartment for trains to and from Termini Station.

The metro is generally active from 05:30 am until around 23:30 pm (later on weekends), the standard ticket (BIT) cost € 1,50, is worth 100 minutes and allows a journey by metro + bus, they can be purchased at tobacconists, newsstands or vending machines or directly with contactless payment at the metro turnstile.

Bus & Tram

The nearest stop is Marmorada/Vanvitelli, the service is usually active from 05:30 am until 24:00 pm and tickets can be purchased at tobacconists, newsstands or vending machines or directly with contactless payment on the bus/tram ride.

Rome’s public transport is mainly managed by ATAC Company, the system allows you to get around the city by connecting most of the neighborhoods, main attractions, train stations and exchanges with regional services, you can consult the status and the maps of the service network on the official website.
